of the importance of preserving our natural resources.

and/or British Canoe Union certified instructors.
* Top of the line equipment including: Comfortable
kayaks all with foot braces and comfortable back rests,
lightweight adjustable paddles, comfortable transportation.

Salt Marsh tour (Conveniently located only
minutes from Rehoboth, Bethany and Ocean City). This
tour is about 10 minutes from both Ocean City and
Rehoboth.
Level: This tour is suitable for
all levels. Great for beginners and children!
Paddle through the salt marshes
around a state wildlife refuge. These marshes are
the feeding grounds for many animals, some of which
include herons, egrets, oyster catchers, osprey, horseshoe
crabs and skimmers, to name a few. In your kayak you
will glide tranquilly through this environment and
have an excellent vantage point to witness all of
the activity. One of the highlights of this trip is
our exploration of a small sandbar where you will
get out of your kayak and comb the beach for a variety
of beach dwellers such as fiddler crabs, starfish,
clams, etc.We use single and tandem state-of-the-art recreational
kayaks. These boats are stable and
user-friendly. We give a short instructional session
before the tour and also supply all of the safety
gear. Paddling time on this tour is 1.5 - 2 hours. (Touring and sit-on-top
kayaks are also available)
The price of this tour is
$40.00 per person (with coupon). Children 11 years
old and younger receive $10 off when accompanied by
an adult at the regular price. We require advanced
reservations. Minimum age for the Salt Marsh Tour is 7 years old.

Bald Cypress tour (This tour site is located
approximately 40 minutes inland from the beach)
Level: This tour is suitable
for all levels.
You will be amazed at this
unique tour. We will be paddling through a freshwater
pond that is home to the northernmost stand of Bald
Cypress in the United States. Home to a great variety
of plant and animal life, you will silently glide
through the trees as we weave our way to the farthest
reaches of the pond.
We give a short instructional session before the tour
and also supply all of the safety gear. Paddling time on this tour is
approximately 2 hours.
The price of this tour is $50.00
per person (with coupon). Children 11 years old and
younger receive $10 off when accompanied by an adult
at the regular price. Minimum age for the Cypress Tour is 7 years old.

Woodland Tour: We launch our kayaks at the
top of a beautiful pond dotted with wooded islands.
We will leave the world behind as we explore a small
creek with clear water and dense vegetation. The astute
observer can see prothonatory warblers, piliated woodpeckers,
bald eagles, osprey and a multitude of curious turtles
watching us glide past.
Level: This tour is suitable for all levels of paddlers

Assateague Island Nature Tour: A unique salt
marsh tour where we will explore the back bays of Assateague
Island National Park as we search for wild life including
the famous Assateague Island wild ponies.
Level: This tour is suitable for all levels of paddlers

 Ocean Paddles: Enjoy the vastness of the ocean and
the roll of the swells as we follow the coastline searching
for dolphins, turtles and other marine life. We will
be offering this tour in July and August, once the
water warms up, because you will get wet!! This tour
lasts 1-1.5 hours.
Level: You must have previous kayaking experience for
this tour due to the difficulty of paddling out and
back in through the surf zone. You also must be able to pull yourself up onto the kayak from deep water.
The price of this tour is $40 per person (with coupon).
Minimum age is 13.

Group and Corporate Activities: Let Coastal Kayak
arrange your group outing. We can accommodate groups
up to 50. Specializing in all types of group tours
and events ranging from boy and girl scouts to corporate
activities. Call to get information on our special
group pricing.

Release Form:
Note: All tour participants must sign an assumption
of risk and release of liability form. Children under
the age of 18 must sign the form along with a parent
or legal guardian. Click here to download a Coastal
Kayak release form. Please feel free to fill this
form out and bring it with you. We must have one
form for each participant. |

moon paddles - full day trips, night paddles, etc.

Getting There: For most tours, we meet you
at our rental location and leave from there. You can
ride with us in our club wagon van or follow us in your
own vehicle (parking fee may apply).
What to Bring: Make sure to wear clothes and
shoes that can get wet. You will definitely be getting
your feet wet! It's a good idea to bring a long sleeve
shirt or light jacket, sunglasses, hat, water and
a snack. You may also want to bring insect repellant
and ziplock bags to keep your valuables dry.
Reservations: Reservations are required for
all tours and can be made by calling our office at
302 539-7999 or toll free from Ocean City at 877 445-2925.
We suggest calling at least several days in advance
especially during July and August. For reservations,
we accept Master Card and Visa. |

Cancellation
Policy: To ensure the best experience
possible, Coastal Kayak limits the number of participants
per tour. For this reason, it is necessary for us
to incorporate the following cancellation policy.
For June and September you must cancel at least
5 days prior to the scheduled tour to receive a refund.
In July and August you must cancel at least 48 hours
prior to the scheduled tour. This goes for all
members of your party. In the event that you do
not cancel within this time period, you will not
receive a refund. You will however be able to join
any other of our scheduled tours (of the same price)
where there is space available at any time throughout
the 2008 season. Cancellation due to weather: Coastal
Kayak reserves the right to cancel any tour at any
time if they feel that the weather or conditions
present an unsafe situation. Of course any tours
cancelled due to weather would result in a refund to all participants. We generally do not
cancel tours in the event of light rain or drizzle.
Any thunder, lightening or high winds and
we immediately cancel the tour.
